Asian Community and Cultural Center The Lincoln Asian Community and Cultural Center’s (ACCC) services and programs focus on increasing the stability of immigrant and refugee families in Lincoln who face economic and cultural barriers to self-sufficiency as New Americans, providing culturally specific services for Lincoln’s Asian and Sudanese populations. ACCC also provides support with health care issues, including assistance in making doctors’ appointments and visits; domestic violence counseling and guidance, employment assistance, teaching communication strategies for parents and their teenagers with the ultimate goal of preventing substance abuse, and tai chi fitness classes. MilkWorks MilkWorks is a nonprofit community breastfeeding center with a staff of internationally board-certified lactation consultants (IBCLCs) available for appointments. The front desk staff is trained to answer any breastfeeding questions and provide guidance through drop-in weight checks and support groups, offered at no cost to families. They are also in network with all major private insurers and Medicaid and can provide a double-electric breast pump through insurance.
