Maternal and Child Health Project
The Maternal and Child Health project is a citywide initiative led by Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln in coordination with pediatric and maternal healthcare providers in the city. The project focuses on improving the quality of healthcare provided to children and pregnant women in the city through ongoing quality improvement projects with local healthcare clinics. Among other quality measures, the project initiatives have included:
- increasing access to quality prenatal care to help reduce the rates of preterm birth and other maternal/neonatal complications.
- perinatal depression screening
- well-child examinations for children less than 6 years old and
- increasing childhood vaccinations rates
